Nowadays, I don't have as many chances to play sports games as I used to. A lot of my sports equipment is sitting on outdoor shelving in my garage, gathering dust. Nonetheless, I still get to use some of the equipment sports every now and then. The outdoor sports equipment, in particular, has been getting use this spring. The weather has been wonderful, and it has been difficult to stay inside any more than I have to. I have been mountain biking, hiking, and I even got to play a friendly game of soccer. It has been nice to pull out the old sports equipment and try it on again.

All joking aside, it seems that so far there is only one NBA team and they are the New York Knicks. I won't go into how unfair it is to so improperly represent hockey and basketball because these guys might actually be getting the better end of the bargain-the entire city roots for them, not just half. With so many major sporting opportunities it's amazing that men in this city get anything at all accomplished without carrying a portable pocket television with them at all times.

My son is a pretty athletic kid, but all he likes to do is skateboard. He has been bothering me to set up a backyard skateboarding park for him, but I haven't really decided yet. It seems like, if he is so into backyard sports, he should take some initiative. Back when I was a kid, we built our own gear instead of making our parents buy it for us. It taught us passion and follow-through. It also taught us the value of money.
